Meeting and greeting and local representative

Our local representative will meet you at the apartment when you arrive to familiarise you with all the facilities. She speaks fluent English and Croatian and is familiar with all the local facilities etc. She is contactable throughout your stay to provide any assistance you may require to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible.

First arrival at the apartments

It is approximately 10 minutes walk from the harbour to the apartments but we recommend you take a taxi on first arrival particularly if you have any amount of luggage.

Local Currency

Guests are reminded the currency in Croatia is the Croatian Kuna not the Euro. As a rule buses, taxis, shops, restaurants etc do not accept Sterling or Euros. Sterling can be easily exchanged at banks and exchange offices which can be found throughout the island and the mainland. There are also numerous ATM machines which accept all the major debit and credit cards so this may be the easiest way to get local currency for most people. You will need Kuna for the bus/taxi to the harbour and for the ferry crossing. There are several ATMs at the airport, ferry terminal and in the town of Supetar so you can draw local currency on arrival if you prefer not to buy it in England.

Mobile phones

All the major European mobile phone operators have partnering arrangements with Croatia so your UK will work okay and reception is good across the whole of the island. Call and text charges will vary according to your provider. If you expect to make a lot of calls or send a lot of texts during your stay you may wish to buy a local pay as you go sim for use in your phone. If you do you will need to check that your handset is not locked to your domestic operator. It may also be a good idea to check you have roaming enabled on your phone as some networks have this barred as the default setting.

Internet access

The apartments do not have a wifi connect or other access to the internet. However there are several internet cafes in the town which offer cheap reliable access to the internet if you need it. If you prefer to bring your laptop you can buy a local pay as you go internet dongle and use the local wireless internet service which has good coverable across the island and the mainland.
